Busy day

Postby badpolarbear » Tue May 18, 2004 11:45 pm

I got up at 6:00 am today, had one look at my setup and said I had to do something. This is what I started with.

I took everything apart, took the sides off the cpu and blew it out with air, came back in the house and washed every piece down with warm water and soap. Changed all the telephone jacks, rewired some jacks, changed the location of 2 phones and then started putting things back together. The keyboard tray was on top of the desk, I got out the saw and did some handy work, relocated the desk and started placing things. It is now 6:40 pm Im bushed. Here is what the final outcome was. I was so pleased when I took the picture to notice that everything now looks in place and there are no wires dangling anywhere. Wonder what was in that coffee this morning?

I know how long those wire re-routing projects can take. I grew up in a family that takes sound systems out for concerts and installes professional level sound studios. You may not realize it when you hear the music, but generally there are a lot of inputs (wires) required to hook up microphones for everything. It isn't uncommon to have 12 mics on the drum kit alone. And at concerts you have to have the wiring tidy so the performers on stage don't trip.

so anyways i've had practice running wires all of my life, and it still takes me forever to hook stuff up on my pc and hide the wiring.
