Where did I go wrong?

Postby badpolarbear » Sun May 16, 2004 2:17 am

Im trying to figure out where I went wrong. If you look at this site you will see that the guest book and hit counter are at the top of the page. I dont want them there, I want them at the bottom

http://www.geocities.com/officialnewfie/

Here is a copy of the index html. This is where the last pictures go in, there is filename.xxx etc. I copied and pasted the guestbook and hit counter below the pictures but they showed up above the pictures. I know it is something simple and stupid but Im not sure what.

If you WROTE all that, that was a sheer waste of time.

If it was a program, get a better one.

Hmmmm

Postby badpolarbear » Sun May 16, 2004 1:24 pm

After looking over all the errors on the page I think my best bet would be to just scrap the page and maybe I should look for another hobby. So much for trying to win the girlfriends heart back.

With all the errors on the page Im surprised it worked at all.

I agree with liljim it's not that bad
I would put your guestbook and counter in it's own table under the table
you already have. Then just close the first table like this (</table>) before you start the second table.

My next question

Postby badpolarbear » Sun May 16, 2004 11:12 pm

If you look at the site you will see that the picture thing-a-ma-bob what ever you call it is hiding the background. I would like to move it down to where one background changes to a new one, there is a definate line there. I tried a whole bunch of <br>'s and it dropped it down but there was a bunch of em. How do I get it so the top border of the pictures box is on the line of the starting of the second background?

http://www.geocities.com/officialnewfie/

Have no fear its going to get more complicated after I solve this one
