Hitachi's Deskstar 7K400 ($400)

The 7200-rpm Serial ATA hard drive comes with an 8MB buffer and a staggering 400GB of storage. Hitachi essentailly slipped 2 more 80GB platters into its 250GB Deskstar 7K250 - the fastest to date. Adding the extra platters didn't effect the performance at all.

I dont know about you but I could never possibily fill this bad boy up. I guess this ones for the big boys

This drive with the 6800 ultra nvidia card and a amd 64 cpu would make an awesome combination.

Something else to add to the "wish list"
