Disable Right-Click Facility on Images?

Postby jemmo » Thu Apr 15, 2004 11:26 pm

I have built a web site (quite basic but I'm quite chuffed) for my wife's business venture, and one of the pages is a gallery. How do I stop people right-clicking on the gallery images and downloading them? I have looked in my Dreamweaver manual and can't find anything.

Feedback on the site would be useful too if there are any critics out there (but please be gentle with me!)

Cheers all.

will let you do that :)

The site looks nice..my only suggestion is having a transparent background on your nav buttons.

Check this out...
It's DHTML,just put the code in the <BODY> tag of your WebSite.
There are other scripts. This one, nothing happens on a right click,no messege or text pop-up.
Another code makes a box pop-up with text you insert---NO RIGHT CLICK--- or whatever.

Here's a few places to look for coding.

Thanks for the info chaps.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I suppose what the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away. Lord Bill Gates that is!
Anyway, I've added some script and I guess we'll just have to live with what will be.

Many thanks again - and what a quick response!

If you use the words "Lord" and "Bill Gates" in the same sentence again, I swear I'll kill you.

Keep in mind im only a 16 year old kid.
