direct X

Postby noby » Thu Mar 18, 2004 9:10 am

Hi guys,

here's another strange behaviour : on a newly installed system, i try to install direct X (8.0,8.1,or 9.0) they all do the same : they unpack normally, start the install procedure, en then whoops.... Reboot!!
this may seem nice, but it bothers me, and i still want to install Direct X. By the way, I've downloaded the direct X stuff from MS.

Any suggestions? :P :!:

Ok...you need to update Windows first. You will also get the DirectX in those updates.
You could download at a another computer and burn to a CD or you can order them .

i can't follow you; MS states that for Win98 SE you do not need the updates, they're included

so, what now?
