Fujitsu LIFEBOOK SH560 running slow

My Fujitsu LIFEBOOK model SH560 has been running very slow since almost a year.

At desktop, when I right click it takes about 5-10 sec for the options to display.

Antivirus:
WINDOWS DEFENDER is up-to-date.
COMODO is up-to-date.
No virus has been detected.

Registry seems to be clean. Today, downloaded a new software. Right now, it is checking.

The registry is also OK.

Another annoying problem.............sometimes when I fold down the LCD for the system to hibernate, the system hibernates. But when I open the LCD, the power LED lights up for few moments and then the system becomes dead. The power switch does not respond.

I have to remove the battery pack.
Remove the power chord.
Press the power button once.
Attach the power chord.
Put back the battery pack.
Press the power button once again.

The system starts with some BIOS message to press F1. Pressing F1 resumes the system from where I had left it however, the system date is reset to 01/01/2009.

Everyday, I have to face this problem twice or thrice.

For the delayed right click:
Do you have any "mapped drives"?
Have you run a checkdisk?

For the date loss:
Sounds like the CMOS battery may be dead.

CHKDSK run number of times.

If the CMOS battery is dead, I think the date should be reset every time the system is reboot. Here the date resets only when the system fails to resume from hibernation.

As for the CMOS battery if the system is just rebooted the the date should stay correct, during shutdown then start up and loss of hibernation is when you would loose the date.

Windows Defender is not really an anti virus/malware program and has not been update is a couple of years.
I would recommend you download, install and run , make sure you run a Full scan.

How much ram does your laptop have?

Yes, the date is lost only when loss of hibernation.

Downloaded, installed and full scanned --> Windows Security Essentials.
No virus found.

Installed RAM is 4GB.

It still sound like the CMOS battery is dead and the fact that recovering from hibernation causes the BIOS to trigger the F1 reference. Basically you loose you BIOS settings.

Try turning off the laptop for a couple of hours and see if you get the same date loss error.

I hibernate my laptop occasionally.
Usually, I switch it off every day at night. After every proper shut down, there is no date loss.
Even there is no date loss after every hibernation. It happens only sometimes (as I mentioned in my post of May 30, 2013), say, once after every two proper resuming of windows.

Well we can look to see if there is anything showing up in your Event logs.

Go to Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer > look in the system section.

You are looking for any red or yellow icons, double click on the icon.
Click inside the 'Description' section then highlight the text and copy and paste it into notepad.
At the bottom of the event window check 'words' and then copy and paste that text also
Then past it all into your reply to this thread.

If you don't show any errors in the event viewer then:
Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery section
Settings button > System Failure section > check the box 'Write an event to the system log'
