This still seems like a Ram issue. I may be wrong.
This could ignite the Win98 max. Ram issue but I've been there before. I've got two Win98 systems that are running 544 mb ram. (Everyone says 512 is the max.) I had some problems when I went to 512 and above. Crashing was one of them. Here's how I solved them: (Even is it doesn't help your exact problem it can help performance on Win98 systems with 512 mb. and up.)

1.) Add the following line to the [386Enh] section of the SYSTEM.INI file: ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1

2.) Windows has a bug that affects systems that have 512MB or more of RAM. Windows will take it all away an excessive amount of RAM to be used as a temporary cache and leave a very small amount for the programs to use.

Resolution: To limit Windows from doing this you have to add the entry "MaxFileCache=256000" entry to the system.ini file as follows:

Click START then select RUN and type in the text box

sysedit

and click the OK button
the system configuration Editor window will open which will have 5 other windows within it.
Each windows has a title, so click on the one that says "c:\windows\system.ini" to bring it to the front.

Now scroll down until you see the entry
[vcache]
Normally it will have nothing under it. You need to type under it

MaxFileCache=256000

So that it looks like this

[vcache]
MaxFileCache=256000

if you do not find the [vcache] entry then just do the above at the very bottom of the entries so it is the last one.

Then from the very top select FILE then select Exit
the computer will ask you if you want to save the current changes
click the YES button then the window will close and you are done

Now restart the computer.

Hope it helps.

Hmm.. Looking at the log, Do you have any weapons or Game MOD's installed? Does this happen on an of the default maps or is this a user map? I have seen this crash before but only when MOD's were installed to the game..

I agree with brad I also think its a RAM problem.

When the computer runs out of RAM, it uses space on the hard drive to temporarily store data. This is called virtual memory. Accessing files on the hard drive is much slower than accessing files in RAM, but using virtual memory can prevent the computer from running out of temporary storage space and experiencing out -of-memory errors. The space on the hard drive used for virtual memory is called a swap file. In Windows 9x, the swap file is called WIN386.SWP. Whenever the processor requests data that is not in the RAM, a page fault occurs. Whenever a page fault occurs, the virutal memory manager looks on the swap file for the requested data, then moves in into RAM for the processor to access. In some cases, the computer can spend all its time moving data between RAM and the swap file. This process is called thrashing, and the result is a computer that "freezes up" even though there appears to be excessive disk activity.
You can disable the swap file in Windows 9x using the Performance tab in the System Properties dialog box(Control Panel). However by disabling it, you run the risk of not being able to run many applications becoz out-of-memory errors might occur.
Additionally, you can change the swap file as needed. By setting a specific size, you might be setting it too low so that you run out of virtual memory or too high so that it takes up disk space that could be used for other things.

Just thought this info might help.
