Sound Problems

Postby Stormy Fairweather » Tue Aug 12, 2008 7:56 pm

Just bought a Acer m5640. The sound in all my games and programs comes in scratchy through my headphones. I have tried different headphones, various realtek sound drivers, and pretty much all settings available. I always get the same sound problems. Popping, and scratchy. Since I just installed a phat video card, and have a nic, I don't want to put another card in the remaining slot so my video card can breathe.

When I go to my control panel it lists Realtek and nvidia hdmi under sound cards, both intregrated. As I understand sound, intregrated cards should be more than good enough for headphones, which are all I ever use.

Please, if you know what may work to fix this let me know.
