Download Problem

Postby Richlife » Sat Mar 29, 2008 4:22 pm

I have this terrible download problem. No matter what or how large file is, it just stops at a random time. I cant download anything at all. I dunno if its my computer or what, but it does it on both my desktop and laptop, both which run Vista, and i have IE on the desktop and Firefox on the laptop. Im just so lost, i cant do anything.

Are you on a wireless network?
It's possible that your wireless connection drops breifly but is enough to lose track of wherever you're downloading from.

It could be your router itself. My brother's is a bit sketchy and likes to randomly reboot itself.

Hope you find an answer.

*A way around the problem*
Download a program called
I use it myself with the firefox addon .
It's very good at 'pausing' downloads so even if the connection is dropped it will retry and continue once it's established a new connection.

as said.....it depends where you are downloading from. Are you talking about straight from your browser (IE, Firefox, etc) or do you also have problems with like a P2P program or FTP ?
Let me know, I've dealt with many problems like this before and can easily solve them for you!
