If you have about $20 go buy a usb external hard drive kit. Take out the old drive and put it in the USB shell and plug it into a usb port on the new computer. Pay attention to the size of the external USB drive case. It comes in 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" sizes. The 2 1/2 is for the smaller lap top hard drives.

Hi the hard drive which the files are on is for a pc.sorry if it sounded like it was a laptop.Also im in ireland so uk sites are no good to me.

How about that. Crack open the broken pc, take the hdd out of it, wack it in that badboy, connect via usb to new pc and hey presto, all your files
