Az Flux,
Well that is normal for those devices to be "location unknown".
I'm running out of new ideas on what it could be.
You have most likely done all of these already but just to make sure.
Verify that your sound device is turned on:
Open Device Manager.
Double-click Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your sound device, and then click Properties.
Under Device usage, make sure that Use this device (enable) is selected.
Click OK.
Restart your computer if you are prompted to do so.
Verify that your sound device is the default device:
Open Sounds and Audio Devices Properties in Control Panel.
On the Audio tab, click your sound device in the Default device lists under both Sound Playback and Sound Recording.
Verify that Windows is configured to use the audio features of your sound device:
Open Device Manager.
Double-click Sound, video, and game controllers.
Double-click your sound device.
Click the Properties tab, and then double-click Audio Devices.
Click your sound device, and then click Properties.
Click Use audio features on this device.
Click OK until you return to Device Manager.
Restart your computer.
