All computer hardware support

Postby robbro » Sun Jan 20, 2008 1:05 am

yea tried that the other day lil jim no beep codes at all when i tried with ram without with g card without etc. :( so guess i have a bad board hopefully they will replace it...

Lil jim could you check if ASUS P5N-T Deluxe AiLifestyle Series nForce 780i SLI Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard my board is compatible with

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Energy Efficient 95W edition Socket 775 (2.40GHz) G0 Stepping L2 8MB Cache OEM Processor CPU.

Im sure it is as it specifies quad core at front of the mobo box...

So im left with either bad board or PSU u think ?? but if it was the psu wouldnt the board not power at all etc?? im deffo sure its the board though...

If you find anything else out lil jim let me know and thanks m8

My conclusion would be the board due to it not generating a beep code without memory or video present. If you had bad memory or bad video it should beep, without those installed it should also beep.

yea thats what i think too lil jim if it was psu it wudnt boot on at all really would it. guess it is a bad board afterall hope so anyway because i dont want hastle of sending parts back its annoying. Cheers for your help though lil jim and venneys :). I just find it weird that i only get a beep code if the power to the gcard was not plugged in and not if the gcard itself is in or ram :S!

hopefully they pick up this bad board and give me refund im looking to get this board:

the requirements arent very high for XP, its amazing what the difference is for vista.

* OS: Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista
* Processor: 1 .8GHz or faster (2.4GHz for Vista)
* RAM: 1GB or more (2GB for Vista)
* Video: DirectX 9.0c/10 compatible device w/ 128MB RAM or better and Pixel Shader 2.0 support; requires NVIDIA GeForce 6200/ATI Radeon 9000 chipset or greater
* Audio: DirectX 9.0c compatible device
* Disc drive: 8x DVD or faster
* Hard drive: 6 GB or more free space
* Input: Keyboard and mouse
* Internet: Connection required for multiplayer

To clarify one point, not all of the ATI Radeon 9000 series has Pixel Shader 2.0 support - only the following ones do:

* Radeon 9500
* Radeon 9600
* Radeon 9700
* Radeon 9800

Never played wow robbro so i cant comment on it. I love the quest, dynamic leveling, upgrade system, everything about it really. Im am a tough game critic and can find something i dont like is just about everything i've played until i got hold of this one. I cant complain about anything and im about 70% finished.

Its good i like it :D! you should give wow a try its very similar with the questing and such. Its weird because you know its based in london? them stations you travel into i know very well lol :D! they right where i live in central london. and holborn/covernt gardens and tottenham court road is like west end (has loads of shops etc like you have malls).

Really cool i rekon i died a few times first off because didnt know you can buy better weapons lol! and i tried to kill some level 5 boss and it killed me in two hits! :O.

This comp has a 3.4ghz cpu and 9600gcard and works alright with the game would run better on new pc :(. But really try wow out its cool:P
