Halo PC graphics lag

I head the Halo PC version has a big problem with the graphics lagging on even the fastest computers. I heard rumors about the patches fixing this issue, but this microsoft website does not mention anything about fixing graphics issues. Should I buy it?

if your going to purchase this halo then you need awesome memory atleast 256 sdram, recomended is 512 ddram, also you need atleast a 600 MHz clean running machine with a descent graphics card. I have a X65 Athlon chip (runs at 4.6 GHz) geforce 4 card, and 2 Gb ddram so least to say no problemo either way, also update it to the latest version and if running online then update the multiplayer version if it doesnt come with it, if you do that then it should run clean as a babys behind. l8ter

ok i have an athlon 2500+, 256MB DDR400, Radeon 9200 SE 128 meg, but that is not my question. I heard that even the fastest computers lag on halo, and i want to know if the patch would fix that on my computer.

I don't think the patch would help. I have heard that it lags on the fastest computers..BS. Runs 80 FPS highest settings on my machine

It doesnt lag with my friend who has a GeForce 3 Ti 500 and a pentium 3. Try turning down video card settings etc.

i got the game, it lags on my pc, n i have quiet a good pc. amd 3000+ 256 bit graphicks, 512 ram. erm.. dunno wat else, but it doesnt work very well n i got annoyd at it, the mose was kinda messed as well. if u want the game i would recoment gettin an xbox.lol the game ISNT worth buying
