Postby yurei_boy » Sun Dec 23, 2007 11:39 pm

Ok so i got my new pc for my birthday, mega happy i was ^_^.
Sposed to be able to play all the recent games no hassle so it was perfect for me!! but anyways! the problem.. (cue the dramatic music!)

I set everything up... getting all excited... it's all plugged in... i turn it on... annndd..... the screens blank.
black.
nothing.
ness.
I know it works because if i turn the monitor off and on again it'll be happy enough to say "no signal". what's up?! i've check the cables, screwed tightly, i tried swapping them around.. im sure there's something i havn't done right!!
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Does the video card have dual connections? If so you may need to connect the monitor to the other port.

What is the specs on it?

nope, i would have figured that one out because this pc has two and i had to use both before one would work lol.

i dont really know the specs i did ask to get them written down for me.. still havn't seen that.... but i remember the guy mentioning like an "azoos" or sumthin :P.. wait.. "asus" i think. i think it was the mother board or something like that. but its 4:26am. so im going to get some shut eye and we're going to phone the seller in the day to say "wtf." etc etc.

ill try and keep you updated.

take it back if its not working. if you have a video card, it sounds like a bad card, if not then sounds like a bad mobo.
if you do have a video card in there, try removing it and using the onboard video.

bring it back and have the builder test it. Sometimes when moving, memory and other various things can become loose and cause it not to boot.
