MS Money 2002 (Version 10.0)

Postby davv3000 » Wed Jan 28, 2004 6:00 am

Everytime I try to restore a backup (floppy) from a previous copy of the exact same Money program it keeps asking for a password to access the file. My original Money program crashed so I uninstalled and bought another copy on cd, and re-installed, now I can't restore my backup and it never needed a password before.... What could it be?

Was the old program a version newer than the one you bought? The files are not backwards compatible.

Money versions

To my knowledge, they are both version "10.0"

I did download a free trial of Money 2004 and I was able to easily restore backup from the floppy on there, but when I uninstalled that and installed the Money 2002, it kept asking for a file password. Maybe the password help link that you sent will be of some help to me.
