bios update failed!

Postby venney » Wed Oct 10, 2007 1:33 pm

i am VERY annoyed at my self.
i just got my pc back sunday, and i tried updating the bios today (on my foxcon mobo) i used the live update feature and now when i try boot the pc, it says booting from cd, then says booting failed, inset system disc or something of that nature. i do not have any system disc.

how should i fix this? im at the library at the moment, going to go home and try resetting the cmos, by moving that jumper. will this work? if it does ill be ok, if it doesnt, what do i do?

pleae write back soon.

venney,

It sounds like you need to change the boot sequence in your BIOS.
Go to if you don't know how to access your BIOS.
It will tell you how to access the BIOS for your system based on the BIOS manufacturer or by Computer manufacturer.

Once you're in the BIOS look for boot order/sequence you want to set it to your hard drive that contains your windows install.
Most likely that will be disk0 or your first sata drive.

And no I'm not laughing I just like watching your learn. :D
