Video Card killed onboard LAN?

Postby xkingpinrollerx » Sun Jun 17, 2007 2:02 am

Okay, today I installed a new video card into my g. father's PC. Everything went smoothly except for when I started it up I got three error messages about 3 erroneous devices. These devices are: Other PCI Bridge Device, PCI Memory Controller, and SM Bus Controller. The real meat of the problem is that the network connections is completely blank thus confusing the shit out of me. The card requires at least 325 watts of power and I have now come to realize that the PSU only pumps out 300 watts SO is it possible that the on-board LAN is dead because of the lack of power? Any other opinions would be just as good.

Hello xkingpinrollerx, and welcome to our forum.

Sorry for the delay in a reply, I've been away for a couple of days.

It sounds like your IRQ's got messed up from trying to share too many devices on one IRQ.
What type if display card is it, PCI express, PCI or AGP?
