VIA Enhanced Audio Controller driver problem

Postby Jstat » Tue Apr 03, 2007 3:55 am

I reformatted my notebook recently, and I haven't been able to get my PCI soundcard to work. All of the drivers that I've attempted to install have resulted in bluescreens.

It says the chip is VIA technologies VT8233/A AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
I bought my computer from Cyberpower a couple years ago.
Almost all of it is made by MiTaC.
Does anyone know which driver I need to get?

When I try to select the drivers to install, there is a folder called "AMD64" which is the kind of chip I have, but is says the file doesn't have the drivers for my system. Is it because I have xp 32 bit?

Nevermind. I got the C-media driver from the MSI site working. Thanks
