can you upgrade the video card and cpu on them? I want a dual core but idk if that can be done or not

I don't think that a motherboard that would run the cpu you what would fit in the laptop you have.
Besides laptop motherboards are not cheep, in my opinion the money would be better spent on building a custom high end system.
