ATX Power Supply - 2 Pin Connector

Postby patkim » Fri Nov 03, 2006 3:33 pm

While wiping out dust from inside of my PC cabinet I found that the ATX PS also has a 2-pin power connector. The two pins are exposed from one side and it is a male connector type.

I never noticed it earlier as I has tied a bunch of unused connectors together and aligned it in top corner of the case.

In appearance it would appear like how a Sys Fan connector on a mobo would look if it was kept floating!

I am not sure what that power connector is for, just wanted to know if anyone has any idea. But I realize that I need to wrap a cello tape to avoid accidental short circuit!

I'm not to sure what you are describing and because a picture is worth a thousand words.

Both of these connectors are for fans.
