WinXP Boot Up Problems..

Postby Jas0n » Tue Aug 15, 2006 5:34 am

Hey guys,

PC has been running fine lately, occasionally it likes to just go Freezing itself, so a reboot fixes it. Xcept today. It froze while i was just browsing the net, so i rebooted. During the reboot it got to the WinXP boot screen and the HDD was makin clicking sounds for like 3 mins. Then it goes straight to the blue screen of death. So im like 'omgwtflol? '

So i jumped straight on here to see for some answers. I followed some instructions from previous topics, the boot up from cd-rom with WINxP CD in, but funni thing is, for me, when i get to the choose which mode you wanna start up in (ie: safe mode, normal....) i cant select any options. its like the keyboard aint attached. So i waited for the 30 sec timer to go down and booted up normally. And it boots up fine...for now.....how can i avoid this crappy start problem.

Sorry if my post seems like diary/crap grammar/lame story thing. :p
