Hijack This log post

Postby mercdady » Thu Jun 15, 2006 11:55 pm

This is my 1st post. Here's hoping I have it right. The only real problem I am having is when I try to installThe Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion from my DVD drive. I get the error: is not a valid Win32 application. I also get the same error when trying to install Neverwinter nights. I built the computer myself using parts from newegg and am running Windows XP. The DVD drives are both lite-on DVDRW SHW-160P6S.

Here is my log.

Your log is clean :) nothing there that would affect an installation.

Are you able to install anything else from the DVD drives?

Have you tried the CDs on a different system to see if they do work?

Both DVDs work on another computer I have. I have used these drives to install other games, but I'm not sure if that was before I started having this problem. I do know that I can watch DVD movies on this drive and have since the problem started.

:) Sweet. I followed the steps you suggested and installed the game without a hitch. Pretty much works without any problems. Thanks much Gecko. You rock.
