I just bought a 256mb ram (133), is it ok to leave my existing 128mb ram(100) in next to it or will it cause problems?

Should be absolutely fine - even if its not, the worst you'll see will be some random crashes. Nothing will be permenantly damaged (hardware-wise anyway - obviously crashes could damage any files you were working on at the time). However I know of no reason why you wouldn't be able to mix those 2 dimms in a system like yours :)

I'm pretty sure 133 is backwards compatible, as most I have ever seen are 133/100. If not, just use the 133. The higher frequency will be worth it. By the way, why the hell do you have a 1ghz cpu and a 9600. That sounds wrong. :p

i think if your motherboard will let you you can also change it to where both chips will run a 100mhz and that will eliminate any memory related crashes
