Some help please with a Hijack log

Postby turbostangman » Mon Mar 20, 2006 8:22 pm

I have been having a hard time getting rid of some troj. and malware.

I have done spybot S&D several times and ran Trendmicro 4-times.

I updated the software for S&D again today (did it a few days ago) and now it has found these items. Some are new and some are come backs.

network essentials smart pops
Altnet
CoolWWWsearch.control
CoolWWWsearch
Medialoads
Seksdialer
wildtangent

Tren Microa has found:
Troj. Small.DD
Troj.krepper.AO
Troj.krepper.AP
and a few others This time it was just those three.

I have continuously turned off sysdho.exe in my start-up menu and deleted the core EXE files but it keeps coming back.

I just pulled ths log after all things were said to be fixed. If someone could take a look and varify it that would be great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here it is

right away I see "sysmain.dl" and that is where trend said the krepper.AP trojan was and it was supposed to have deleted the file after I manually told it to. Before that it said it couldn't be removed. So does this mean it is still there?

Please Help!!!

Please copy this to Notepad and print it. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.
You should not have any open windows when you are following the procedures below.

Reboot in to Safe mode:
Restart Windows after you see the BIOS screen and before Windows starts to load.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
Use the Arrow key to ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following:
(They may or may not be there)
sysbho.exe
qwhximr.exe
vbsys2.dll
sysmain.dll
vmlib.exe

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: sysmain.dll

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Remember to reset these when done.
Delete the following Files/Folders if they exist:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\sysbho.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qwhximr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\sysmain.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmlib.exe

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders, Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your Recycle Bin, reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.
