official model introduction year 1977.
I have a vary limited edition, the “FXS 80” it came with the 80 cubic inch (1340 cc) shovelhead motor.
There has been a lot done to it over the years, the frame is stretched 3 inches and lowered 1.5 inches.
The motor is now 96 cubic inches (1600 cc) all S&S parts were used on the motor rebuild.
The heads are ported and polished along with the intakes it now has a side draft SU carburetor to handle the bigger displacement.
They were all taken in and around Daytona Beach,
The bridge picture is the Main St Bridge over the causeway going towards the beach.
And yes it does look a lot like when you are leaving Merritt Island.
I have been up and down the east coast here in Florida from Jacksonville to Miami
and there are a lot of bridges that look the same, especially at night.
I’ve taken the wrong one before and ended up a long ways from where I intended.
But sometimes that’s a good thing you can end up finding some new places to explore.
those custom bikes seem to be very popular in the US. i ride a bike but mostly for commuting its a GPX250R but i think its called a ninja250 in the US.
It always amazes me how many IT guys ride bikes.
