Random Partial Lockups

Postby Un4g1v3n » Mon Feb 06, 2006 4:10 pm

Well, after I get everything setup, more stuff starts happening. Anyhow, here's the problem:

1 - When I'm on the internet (IE 6 or Firefox) and I click a link (MOST of the time) Windows will just stop. I won't be able to do anything for about 30-60 seconds. It will eventually load but yeah, that's really annoying. When I'm playing online games that are full screen (Starcraft, Diablo 2 etc...) nothing ever happens. It runs perfectly, no problems. But it seems this only happens when I'm on the internet.

Any fixes?

What you might try, is go into Add/Remove programs and select Internet Explorer and select remove.

At that point, you will also get the option to repair. Select repair.

Firefox could be the problem--there are not many programers writing code that test their product using Windows 98, plus its no longer supported by Microsoft.

Microsoft won't admit it, but I believe that they still are very aware of Win 98 and Explorer 6. Even the latest Explorer updates work quite well in Windows 98
