Postby fh » Wed Dec 28, 2005 3:10 am

Has anyone heard of this?Web nexus is a loaded program I don't think I willingly loaded it
and it requires you to go to there website to have it removed!???? I'm very suspisious of this .Is there anyway to remove it without going to the web site?
I still have somthing turning off my firewall and deleting my passwords to web sites like this one.I was wondering if this could be the cause?
Also I relodoaded HJT today as I thought somthing in the ignorlist was causing this ..Is a log file created each time you run and save Even thou there was nothing found?
If so where do I find it?

I believe Adaware SE should be able to detect and clean Web Nexus. You can find a link to the program at the top left of this page.

When you download HijackThis it is a zip file and you have to extract to its own folder.
If you are running it from with in the zip archive then your log file is in your temp folder.

When you click the “Do a system scan and save a log file” button when the scan is complete
the log file should be opened with notepad and be on top of HJT.
Are you sure you are clicking the “Do a system scan and save a log file” and not the “do a system scan only”?

To delete this file please download
Run KillBox and paste the below into the text box:
C:\ windows\system32\service\explorer.exe

Now put a check next to 'Standard file kill' and next to ‘End Explorer shell while killing file’ click on the red X,
Your desktop should go blank and then reload this is normal.

Now for the HijackThis problem, start HijackThis and ‘Do a System scan only’
Once its finished click the save log button, choose to save it in the HijackThis folder.
You should now be able to open the saved log

alg.exe is a part of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is a core process for Microsoft Windows Internet Connection sharing and Internet connection firewall. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated

jusched.exe is a process installed alongside Sun Microsystem's Java2 suite and, and checks for/installs Java updates. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

As for reader.sl, I have no idea what that could be.
