Can laptop with only one CD drive burn CD to CD?

Postby kentman » Fri Dec 12, 2003 1:18 am

I have Nero Express installed to burn CD to CD. I have only one drive. This drive is CD-RW and DVD-ROM. But I have not been successful burning CD to CD. Is it because my laptop has only one drive. I am thinking of buying another external CD/DVD drive with USB 2.0. Will adding an external DVD/CD drive with USB 2.0 help to burn CD to CD and also burn DVD to DVD?

Hi, You don't need to go about buying more external writers as such. All you have to do is find your Nero group in the start menu and open the "Nero ImageDrive" application. This will install a "virtual" cd drive for you. Once installed you will have to change your destination drive in Nero to the ImageDrive and leave your burner drive the same. Should work okay, any problems just give me a shout.
