Exporting messages w/ OLE

Postby Junior_co » Sun Aug 14, 2005 5:37 pm

I would like to export all the messages on my primary computer on to my secondary computer.

I went to File... Export... Messages... Clicked OK

Then OLE just kind of seems to go into limbo... I have to shut it down using task manager...

So what do I need to do??

As always your help is much appreciated

You can use windows migration wizard to do this for you.

On your primary system, Start > Run and type “migwiz” (without quotes) and click OK.
That will start the wizard, just make sure that you select only your OLE messages to migrate.

There are a number of back up programs that will do this for you.

Is there any email on the new computer that you wish to move them to?

This is what you can do.

On the old PC with the OLE mail on it, browse to:
C:\Documents and Settings\[insert username here]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{a string of numbers and letters will be here}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Copy all fo that to a CD or something to move to the new PC and place it in the same location on the new PC. Open OLE and it should all be there. :)

Dont forget to turn on show hidden files and folders.
