printing problems

Postby PunkinsMom » Tue Jul 05, 2005 10:44 pm

I have this dinosauer of a computer at work and when I print out of certain programs all I get is garbage, you know, little symbols, stars and the like. The programs affected are the software for Stamps.com (shipping module), groupwise, when I print out an email there is garbage acrossed the top but my e-mail prints ok, there is just no header info, I also have a forms program to print human resource forms, when I use it, all I get is garbage. The printer I use is a HP Deskjet 760. I also use the 550c printer driver to print out of Peachtree version 13, since the boss doesn't like the new upgrade.
Well today, I tried getting to the bottom of the problem, when I clicked on printer properties I received the following error
rundll32 caused an invalid page fault in module msvcrt.dll at 017f:780018ee.
Does anybody have any ideas. I'm getting rather tired of not being able to print from my computer.
BTW, I can print fine out of Office prgrams 2000 and E-Time, it's just those other programs.
Thanks

Anytime I have seen this the only solution that has worked is deleting the printer from windows and reinstalling it.
