If you are trying to open a .txt file and can't see the 'open with' option.... have you tried holding down shift as you right-click? That should give you the option back.

Soz i dont think i made it clear.

Say you have a file.

.SFV and you want to open in in a .txt by write clicking and open with text file, my text file isnt there any more. There is the browse option but i dont know where the file is stored in windows. Notpad is there but txt isnt and it used to be. I hope thats clearer.

You can't open 'with' a .txt file... only with an application i.e notepad, wordpad etc

Right-click your .sfv file and click on 'open with' and if the application you wish to use is listed then choose to open with that. If the application you wish to use isn't there then you need to click on 'choose program'

Look at my last post but definitely choose 'Choose program' and see if it's listed there... it should be.
