Well im a real noob a i have a ftp server running with a dynamic ip.
Im not sure i understand where your prob is but here is the setup in the router. Everyone scanning the net look for port 21.Shame.

in the router setup, go to applications and gaming and port range forwarding.

choose a range of port numbers say for start 4999 to 5000, protocol TCP followed by the address of the machine having the server.

On the second line open a series of ports depending on the size of your server, say 1 hundred ports. ex. 40000 to 40100, protocol TCP and again the address of your server machine.

Dont forget to check enable boxes in both cases.
