IE6 freezes...

Postby snowlynx » Mon Mar 07, 2005 5:27 pm

Can someone give me an idea, why my IE6 freezes after i try to close it, when i play a online game that requires the use of Machromedia flash and ActiveX ? I get the message: "| EXPLORE caused an invalid page in module MFC42.DLL ...".
I dont think though that its a IE6 problem, because this happens even with other browsers . I m trying to find the solution to this problem for months now, and i havent been able to. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

You might try perusing this web site for a start.

Some virus, trojans and spyware can cause this to happen. Make sure you virus scanning software is up to date and you are running spybot or adaware with current updatess.

Actually, run Spybot everyday-and what are the possibilities to have a virus in your system after you format the Hard Disk?

IE isn't the problem, it's ME, ME just sucks...

Call me a bad tech, but whenever someone comes to me with an ME problem, my first reponse, get a new OS...
