Aim problems.....

Postby hue_jass » Sun Mar 06, 2005 8:03 pm

I recently updated my AIM that stupid new version...I didn't like it so I uninstalled it and then erased all the registry settings that it added (like 200 i swear!!!!)

but so then i went to oldversion.com b/c I wanted the older version that ALWAYS worked for me. SO i downloaded it no problem

it works perfectly fine except when "scrolling" over someone who is like 'away' and i want to see how many minutes they were away..

IT wont show this screen anymore:

And im really mad b/c now it doesnt do that. any suggestions?

~Thx

There are two things you might try. You'll need to remove the copy you have now, to start.

If you go to C:\Documents and Settings\[PersonLoggedOn]\Application Data. You might see a folder there for AIM, most of the newer programs install stuff there. rename it something like XAIM.

Then go to and download Reghance. This is a neat regisrty scanner that will kill the program more complely. Do a seach, find and make sure to check the box that says seach the whole regisrty.

Hope this helps
