Brief explaination of the log files,please.

Brief explaination of the log files,please.

I dont have any problems at the moment and have used this program in the past but I was wondering if someone could give a brief run down of what the log files actually show. For example,there always seems to be an abbreviation at the start of each line. What is that and what does it mean?
