Couple Questions

Postby venney » Fri Feb 18, 2005 6:10 pm

Hey, soz i aint been so involved in the site as of late, i suppose ive been more busy, n e ways back to Question!

What do you guys think is the best p2p program from single mp3's? Im getting annoyed with kazaa lite, i tryed downloading a mcfly song and every single 1 wasnt working, came up with like 16 mins long n no audio came out. So i ended up getting the video for it, so heres my second question, does any one know of a software where i can remove the audio from this video n save it into an mp3? Preferably free, or a free trial but any software is welcome, il pay if i need 2.

Thanks every one

and and are the ones I use.

Watch out for eDonkey though.... I had a clean install but I know someone who dl'd it and it came bundled with adware etc.

Don't know much about extracting audio but this may be ok

I get the same thing with kazaa, bunch of songs that dont play. I think it was Icecube that predicted this would happen, good call buddy

I switched to emule, a variant of eDonkey, and i havent hit a bad song yet. Not much i can tell you right now about pulling your audio, i'll have to search on it. Vegas Video will let you extract audio but its FAR from free. I think there's a demo avaliable, have to search on that too.

Thanks for the plug liljim--the biggest problem with kazaa is that you can't share the files you download. :(

Edonkey I believe is not a free service.

Emule is and it is damn good. :) here is a link

If you don't share, your download speeds will be slow. You build up points by sharing. It has everything. The more you share the faster your DL speed gets. Be aware that in the security settings, you need to update the filters so somebody like Adobe is not calling your ISP to shut you down for "illegal sharing." Download the filters at least weekly. Microsoft and Adobe both hit on my ISP for illegal file sharing :| I had no idea that they were monotoring what I was sharing. So update the security filters.

Limewire is probably the best for music fast and quick--if you run Pest Patrol, it goes nuts over this program--cannot figure out why. There is no reason to it.

To quote my son, " emule rocks!"

Pest Patrol is good to get your adrenalin going... it goes nuts over lots of things :D ...like suddenly finding out you've got 2 keyloggers and then suddenly finding out, care of Mr Google, that you havn't got 2 keyloggers hehe

eDonkey has never charged me... and I have used it extensively. In fact although it is by far the slowest downloader of the 3 I use, it is the one I use most and fascinates me most. I know women are a strange breed.

I never knew you couldn't share Kazaa files... I will check that out with my friend later

What I meant, is that you can download the file from Limewire, say from somebody on Kazaa and try to play it, and it will not play. There might be a work around, but I am not patient enough for it. :(

In Limewire, once you select download file and get part of it, you can click on it and it will either play or give you the boiler plate "need to phone Microsoft for license" At that point I pick another source---you know you've hit a kazaa subscriber.

Lilpink Your computer system spec's seem to be somewhat "off the wall" :|

take care

hehehe

I haven't had that happen before with Kazaa subscribers. I guess I've either just been lucky or I choose to listen to music that most Kazaa subscribers wouldn't touch with a bargepole

soulseek finds proper songs not fake ones, you shouldnt even use kazaa :S they finding people who use that, use peer gaurdian to stop people tracing ur steps and always have firewall on , and anti virus. I use to have kazaa the thing itself was a darn virus :/ lol
