Print sharing

Postby skeletor » Sat Feb 05, 2005 8:00 pm

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this but I will give it a shot. All my pc's are running windows xp pro and I am on a workgroup. I have only a few printers and I am hooking them directly to the pc's then I am sharing them through the network to the other pc's. Whenever someone logs off there computer and then logs back on they cannot connect to the printer, they have to search for the computer again and reconnect to the printer again. Is there a better way to share these printers besides putting network cards in them? Also why are the users disconnected when they log off?

If you go through the Add Printer Wizard one of the options will be to reconnect at log on. Make sure that is checked.
