Remote Connections

Postby fishoutofwater579 » Sun Jan 23, 2005 11:42 pm

I was told that at anytime I can connect to one of my machines from anywhere. I have played with it from another computer from my room but never from another city. I was told to do it you had to open a port on your router and then have your computer running before you would do it. So could someone fill me in on the other details?

If you have a router you must forward the proper ports to the Remote Desktop Host.
Running Remote Desktop requires port 3389 to be open.
Your windows XP Pro host system must use a login password or it won’t work.
A good example on how to setup
