Burning Cds / Media Player

Postby smilinjack » Fri Jan 14, 2005 1:05 am

Greetings,
I tell ya, I feel like a real dope!
13 year old kids can make audio CDs and I can't.
Do the files have to be in .wav format first?
The last time I attempted this the CD was only playable on the computer and my Sony CD walkman.
Can anyone provide me with a comprehensive walkthrough of this or should I go back to transistor radio?

Thanks,
Jack :|

Thanks Dave!
Yeah, I have Ver. 10 of the Media Player.
Microsoft says: In the Items on Device pane (the right side of Burn), click one of the following:
Audio CD
Data CD
HighMAT Audio

I of course chose: Audio CD.
Still NG!
The player in question is a JVC and it specifically says on it: CD-R/RW Playback"
Your thougts?

i hate media player Use CD EX (to extract the cd to mp3 files) and Winamp/Nero for burning cds/mp3 files works best for me :)

cd ex found here http://cdexos.sourceforge.net

winamp here http://www.winamp.com/

and nero trial version here http://www.nero.com/en/index.html

I have used these programs a lot and like them much better then Media player.. but thats just my opinion :D and way i make audio cds , Rob.
