Lag Problems

Postby skeletor » Sun Oct 19, 2003 6:55 pm

I have a linksys befsr41 cable/dsl router I have the router connected to my cable modem and my 2 computers connected to the router. The router gets the internet ip from the cable modem and then gives my 2 computers an ip from the router. I am running windows xp if that matters. I am trying to play starcraft broodwars on battle net. When I a play on a lan between the 2 computers everything works fine. When I connect to battlenet from the computers and create a game from either one and try to join from the other one it says that "Game not responding latency to the game creator is to high" If a friend of mine from another state creates a game, both my can computers join but when we start playing there is a huge lag making the game go slow. When one of the computers drops out the game runs fine. So can someone please tell my why this is happenin? Is there some setting in the router that I have to fix or change....? Also I am not running any kind of firewall on my pc and no other programs are running in theback ground. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
