I would try uninstalling the mouse, then installing it again. Maybe something went wrong with the first install. Also, try unplugging the mouse for a few seconds then plug it back in...I know this seems obvious but it's worth a shot.

Ive had this happen to me and the reason was a keylogger. It recorded all the keys i pressed and mouse movements. But try reinstalling the mouse and if this doesnt work, try SpyBot: Search & Destroy to look for errors or hidden viruses.
