i already fixed the win server 2003 OS. thanks

then i ran linux from the cd, and chose "Upgrade". then, since i dont know what to do, i installed it again this way.

i selected automatic partitioning, and chose to remove all linux partitions. then it said it would format the partitions, so i just continued and it continued to install... i think it installed on another partition im not sure it says hda11 and the last linux was installed on hda6 as far as i can remember.

it went well until it restarted and loaded GRUB. there i DIDNT see any DOS os selection, but i saw TWO red hat installations, the one from the previous installation and the other the one i just installed.

i had no choice but to do a fdisk /mbr from a win boot disk... so i guess im back to my original problem... how do i get linux back?

i decided i would just install it again, format all linux partitions clean and start over...

please guide me in this. i installed linux 3 times total in my life and i still have no clue....

here is what i will do, i hope u can provide the next steps...

1.) ill format all linux partitions
2.) ill make one partition an ext3 using partition magic
3.) i will install linux using AUTOMATIC PARTITIONING. with the current ext3 partition already in place, what will i do next? thanks!

note: on 3, i think the choices next are to a.) remove all linux partitions, b.) remove all partitions (which i wont do unless i lose my mind  ) and c.) install on free space

thanks for all ur help. please if u can reply in detail, i would appreciate it a lot... thanks! :)
