The movie was probly too big.
First you need to rip it from the DVD.
Use

Then you need to Shrink the movie to fit on the blank DVD.
To do that use

Now you can burn with Nero.
You can also burn right from DVD Shrink.

*Edit*
I just D/L the newer version of DVD Shrink and backed up a DVD Movie using it only.Great application and FREE...
Here is a great

What format is the movie in? If it's a file on your harddrive then you will need to convert it & use a DVD authoring package to get it onto DVD. Let us know the format & we can give you better advice :)

for movies to be able 2 play in dvd playes they need to be Mpeg2 format.
so first of all you will need to find a program to convert your files. the one i use is called

Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG Converter Pro or
AVI to DVD Converter or
WinAVI Video Converter.
They all work quiet well. As for you .mov no idea about that. but once the movie is in mpeg 2 format i use a program called Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 Disc Creator Trial to make it into a dvd, then i burn it using the same program.

I dont think this is the best way to do it tho, not quick or easy. Ive seen dvd movies that only fill up a tiny bit of the dvd and work fine, but mine allways fill the hole dvd up.

Maby thats helped.

You'd do video-DVD, although you need to have prepared the files in a DVD authoring package before. As I said, Nero ships with Nerovision express which may be able to do this for you :)
