Half Life 2

Postby teststrips » Tue Aug 31, 2004 3:14 am

Are you guys ready for HL2? I got a copy bundled with my video card that I baught nearly a year ago... can't wait to actually play it.

I logged onto Stream yesterday, and saw that HL2 is in Preload status.. meaning that you can download the biggest hunk of the game, so when they release it for good, they've already delivered most of the game to stream users. I would suppose that means a week or two till hl2 goes gold.... woo hoo!

I can tell you one thing for sure... when it comes out I'll have quite a bit less time to jump on the forums.

I too, am looking forward to HL2. Just ordered a new card & PS last night since D3 was running a little pokey for my tastes. I'm sure it'll be everything we are expecting......

I'd get a new card but my wife would kill me. I guess I'll have to live with my AIW 9600, which is quite a bit slower than the fastest card, but will have to do. On the other hand I'm supposing since it CAME with HL2, that it should do a good job displaying it.

I am in the process of downloading Counter-Strike - Source right now. It's basically the same thing as CS, but runs on HL2's engine allowing for better graphics.
