Error Starting Program on boot up

When I start my machine I get a pop up window;

Error Starting Program
The MSVCP60.DLL dile is linked to missing export MSVCRT.DLL:__lc_collate_cp

This only happened after I installed Corel Draw 7. The Corel program works but I can not convert/export an image to jpeg format.

The MSVCRT.DLL file exists on my machine in various places;
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\$INFTool.Tmp
C:\Program Files\Logitech\MouseWare\system
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\JVM\bin
C:\Corel\Draw70\programs

Any ideas how to stop the pop-up and fix the export to jpeg anyone?

Do you by chance have any of the following Microsoft products installed?
Visio, MapPoint, Streets & Trips or office Clip Gallery

If so and it is set to run on startup then most likely Coral overwrote one or both of
the .dll files Mentioned in the error message MSVCP60.DLL, MSVCRT.DLL

Microsoft has articles on how to repair these files.

Okay. Thanks for these 2 useful bits of info.

With regard to the 3 Microsoft links provided by Gecko, the first is for Visio which I don't have installed, the second advises to download a libraries update (I have searched for W98 libraries update) and nothing is found, the 3rd refers to Clipart but from reading that and the info in the 1st response from Geek Girl, is my understanding correct in that I need to;

Search for all occurences of MSVCRT.DLL
Note all programs the file is associated to
Uninstall al of these programs
Reboot
Reinstall said programs
??????????

(If so that should keep me busy for a few hours - donchajuslovecomputers!?)

What you do is go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Coral 7.
Then click Run, type in regedit. Pop!! opens your Registry Editor.
Click Edit then Find. Type in Coral 7 and delete the keys found.
Reinstall Coral 7.

I tried the link and downloaded/installed the updated library files from Microsofet but the problem persists.

Just reading through you reply Geek Girl

and delete the keys found

is it only the Keys checkbox I need to check or do I need Values and Date as well?
I search for Keys and I get 'Value' and 'Order'.
And I suppose I just right click and delete?
(But back up the registry first eh?)

Yes Always backup your registry before editing.
When you search and it finds an entry it should show up on the right side. Just right click and delete. If there is a folder on the left side but nothing on the right do the same to the folder. Just make sure you read what is found before deleting. You'll do fine I'm sure

Still the same.

And when I close down the machine 'freezes' - when I CTRL+ALT+Delete I notice the Wupdater is not responding.

I can feel a fdisk coming on.

Have you tried dropping the MSVCP60.DLL in the system folder from here ?

You could always post a logfile to see if theres something else going on.

Took the plunge and formatted C: and reinstalled everything, and purchased MacAfee Internet Security 2004 Version 6

( a few issues with firewall and spam killer but got them sorted eventually)
