Ok that link told me nothing but after some searching I did find that others are having the same problem.Now if you have a shortcut on your desktop that you use to launch the game do this:

This is what you should have showing in the shortcut

"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -test
there is a (space) between the quotation marks and the dash before test...

Have you d/l the updater? They are saying there was an update that needed installed???

Also, you haven't tried to un-install and re-install have you?? If you do, remove from Add/Remove Programs and make sure you search for files and folders and remove all of those.

Lemme know :)

Ok let's try this again...

Set Windows to show Hidden files and folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Now RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

spykiller.exe
mshy.exe
sysrj32.exe
qttask.exe
AOLDial.exe
AOLacsd.exe
AOLSP Scheduler.exe
aoltpspd.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\yehot.dll/sp.html#28129
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = res://yehot.dll/index.html#28129

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BB007F00-66B3-C207-453B-7CE8EDD79624} - C:\WINDOWS\sysrj32.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AOLDialer] C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\ACS\AOLDial.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sysrj32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\sysrj32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [mshy.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshy.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpyKiller] C:\Program Files\SpyKiller\spykiller.exe /startup

I would remove spykiller and use Spybot 1.3. http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10122137.html It is free and will do all that spykiller does without the false positives as a means to purchase.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Sinsup] odjiwjf.exe

O16 - DPF: {58172624-85DD-4482-9E64-02ADCA637E96} - http://www.kungfuchess.com/activex/web665.cab

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if they are there:

Spykiller
AOLDial
AOLacsd
AOLSP Scheduler
aoltpspd
odjiwjf
Sinsup

Now delete these Folders or Files that are Highlighted: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" in order to delete some Files/Folders)

C:\WINDOWS\odjiwjf.exe ----May or may not be there

C:\WINDOWS\system32\odjiwjf.exe ----May or may not be
there

C:\Program Files\SpyKiller\spykiller.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshy.exe
C:\WINDOWS\sysrj32.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\ACS\AOLDial.exe
If your ISP is AOL..don't delete this

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.
