computer will not boot whatsoever

Postby bsxiong » Sun Jul 25, 2004 5:56 am

hi,

i built my computer like a month ago. And no this problem just happend today. I cannot boot my computer what so ever. I was working on a programming script and ran it. Then my computer just froze. I couln't do anything not even the ALT+CRT+DELETE. So i have to restart it. Then i try to turn it back on. It did but then at the blue loading screen on xp. it froze again. SO i have to restart again.

Now i can't even turn on the computer anymore. I don't blevie i have any burn cicurits anywhere, i checked already. My computer will turn on and everything is running right; fans are running lights are on, CD drive can be open and close. But it seems like nothing is getting to my monitor. My keyboards and mouse aren't even working too. so i don't bleieve that it's my Video card.

Before all this, it just sometimes turns into a blue screen with a lot of text on it, but then i don't even understand it.

i read my motherboard's manual and it said something about CMOS. What is CMOS? And should i do it. If so, Please give me step by step direction please.

I'm using a laptop to type this.

Thanks,

Boon Xiong

ps. please i really need help.

Well what is your monitor telling you?
Do you have another monitor to try?
Can you boot into safe mode?
