Are you talking about where the ports and connectors show through the back? Or are you talking where the pci slots are located near the bottom?
You should of got a plate that came with the board you just pop out the one (if any) on the case and click the one designed for the board in place. If you are talking about were you would put adapters your case should of came with those and when you install an adpater you pop it out to expose the port. If Im not even in the ballpark give me more details.

That board is an ATX Form Factor and should fit in any ATX case. The I/O backplate that i "think" your reffering too should have came with the board. As Geekgirl suggest, you should be able to remove (if any) whats there and place your plate in.If your board didnt come with one you will probably have to contact whoever you purchased the board from,i've been searching for just a plate and havent found any.

hi thanks for the replies. I'm talking about where the ports and connectors show. The back panel didn't come with the board and I guess this is because it was one of ebuyer.com's blowout deals.

The board did fit the case, it's just there's a big space around all the ports and connectors.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Sticky tape?

The problem with open spaces is the air flow. Cases are designed to have the back panel closed to have the correct air flow provided by the fans. Open spaces are perfect for dust bunnies which then become heat problems.

My only though would be to contact asus with your board info and see if you can get one straight from them.

or you could go to a store where they repair the comp's and ask for a backpanel, they often do have 'em.

there is one thing that you will have to realize. To install that plate, you'll need to pull all of the cards and motherboard to put it in. It really isn't worth it. I run several systems without the outside shell cover--no real problem---the only time I see this not working properly, is with some Dell systems that don't have a cpu fan, just a fan blowing accross the heat sink on the cpu
