I am afraid to say, that that didnt work either - Thanks for the amount of suggestions though - keep them coming ;)

I am very puzzled as to why 'Volume control' isn't working.

You can also go to:C:\WINDOWS\SNDVOL32.EXE and create a shortcut and put it in the tray.

Yes i wsas loading the drivers for the correct board, but not to worry - all is sorted now

All i did was uninstall the driveers, reinstall them in a different way, and it works - haha.
