Hi miguelo,

Could you please run

You are infected with a Trojan.
After you run Housecall delete the old version of HJT and
Please Download the newer version of and post a new logfile.

(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders. A good place to make a folder would be in My Documents,
as this is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)

Hey miguelo,

I'm not the expert in reading the HJT logfiles but have noticed something in your logfile. Have you upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP?
Someone will be reading your logfile shortly....

Please make a folder for Hijackthis, It's not adviseable to leave it on your desktop, backups will be spread all over your screen... :)

Right click an empty spot in the MyDocuments Folder----left click NEW---Folder
Name it HJT---copy and paste hijackthis to that new folder and delete the one on the desktop originally downloaded.

Don't delete backups until everything is running ok...

Yes i did.
Housecall removed 13 Trojans but also said that i have inetg folder containing a .exe in use.
I removed it, reboot, and the folder still appears.

**(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders.
This is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)**

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

services.exe
wuauclt.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

Ok...first off...Image delete that version of HJT(v1.97.7)
That version is outdated.
You posted your last logfile with version 1.98.2
If you accidently deleted it...use the link in sig below for HJT.

Run ver. 1.98.2 again and post back.

Before you Run and post HJT again...

Download CWShredder and save it to desktop
http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/10/ ... -150.shtml

Next: with only CWShredder open let it FIX all problems

RESTART your computer
Don't open a browser yet, instead access Internet Options via Control Panel
Under the Programs tab "Reset Web Settings"
Under the General tab---Delete files + offline content---Also Reset home page.

Reboot

Run HJT ver.1.98.2
Post a new logfile.
